Why I joined Shaarie Torah

"When our daughter volunteered to host a Young Judaea "ask-the Rabbi" teen event at our house last winter, Rabbi Zuckerman came to our house. We had heard that Shaarie Torah had a "sleepy" reputation. Boy, were we surprised! The Shaarie Torah Rabbi was the opposite - he was dynamic, funny, knowledgeable and inspiring. We decided to go to Shaarie Torah for services the next Shabbat to check it out. Everyone was so friendly and warm and we loved the service. We joined Shaarie Torah right away. We now go every shabbat, we have made many new friends. We love Shaarie Torah and so do our kids."

I love thee for the dulcet tones of your Chazzan
Who lends musical beauty and quiet dignity to every service
I love thee for the wit and dedication of your Rabbi
Who continually puts his compassion and his shpelkes to good use
I love thee for the glowing presence of your Education Director
Who radiates her knowledge and commitment on both kids and adults
And I love thee for the efforts of your congregants and staff
Who make every synagogue event a friendly, welcoming occasion
Not to mention that when food is served, it's always geshmacht
